Thank You to Emma Welton from https://damppebbles.com/ for organising this book tour and to Matt Brolly for a copy of this book in return for an honest and unbiased review.
Synopsis
From the bestselling author of the acclaimed DCI Lambert series comes The Controller, a gripping serial killer thriller introducing Sam Lynch and Special Agent Sandra Rose.
It is six years since special agent Samuel Lynch left the FBI following the disappearance of his son, Daniel. Lynch believes an underground organisation known as The Railroad is responsible and has never stopped searching.
When Special Agent Sandra Rose investigates a house invasion gone wrong, she discovers the assailant has the legendary, and infamous, Railroad tattoo carved onto his back and he claims to know Daniel’s whereabouts.
Rose draws Lynch in to her case, and together they become embroiled in an unparalleled world of violence and evil.
It seems that to see his son again, Lynch will have to confront his greatest fear and face the ultimate test: an encounter with the Railroad’s enigmatic and deadly leader, The Controller.
My Thoughts
Wow! Thank you Emma for introducing me to a brand new author. I knew I was in for something exciting when Zoe from http://zooloosbookdiary.co.uk/ told me how good it was but I still wasn’t expecting what I got.
The controller reads like a high octane action movie and it’s packed with tension and suspense form the word go! This book goes way beyond any crime novel I’ve read before and is completely character focused rather than on the procedural aspect of crime solving.
The combination of Lynch and Rose as a partnership is one of the best I’ve ever read and in addition to their collaborative skillset, there is a sizzling sexual tension between them. I love that Lynch was written differently than most action men – he experiences and visibly shows emotions and is not afraid to express his feelings. Rose is led more by her head and procedure and together the make a formidable team.
Overall this is a page turner that you cannot tear yourself away from. I am now impatiently waiting for more action from Lynch and Rose – Highly recommended.

It’s really good. Its only a shortish review but I think it sums up my feelings. It’s very Jack Reacher ish (film wise) but with more depth
