Finding Love on Sunshine Island by Georgina Troy – Blog Tour

Thank you to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for organising this tour and to Georgina Troy, Boldwood and Netgalley for a copy of this novel in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

Welcome to the Sunshine Island – where the beaches are golden, the lifestyle is perfect and anything is possible.

Piper Le Brocq is happily single after the disastrous ending of her engagement eighteen months before. The only man in her life is Jax, her best friend and cousin, who spends his life teaching locals how to forage and taking tourists on boat trips around the island. Her days are filled with helping out at her mother’s guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity.

Piper loves living on the Sunshine Island, where the neighbours look out for each other and visitors are welcome. So, when handsome guest Alex Cooper arrives at the guest house to check up on his grandfather, she welcomes him to the sunny island. And when he needs help after his grandfather is injured, she’s quick to get involved.

Yet, the more she gets to know Alex the more mysterious he seems, and Alex isn’t the only one keeping secrets from her.

My Thoughts

I was smitten by The Boardwalk series when I discovered them last year so I couldn’t wait to dive into this new series and join life on The Sunshine Island.

I adored Piper, her mother and her gran.  I loved the idea of 3 generations if strong women who have held their own over the years and come out stronger.  She was such a sweet character who made me feel really protective over her.  The chemistry with Alex was there from the very beginning and I was willing them to get together throughout.  The will they, won’t they trope really kept me on the edge of my seat whilst reading.

The guest house belonging to the family sounds delightful and definitely somewhere I would stay.  I have never experienced Jersey however, Georgina’s rich description has really tempted me to go.

This is a cute and light introduction to a new linked series and it was perfect for some much needed escapism.  Georgina Troy’s writing always makes me feel like I have just had a big hug and I cannot wait to experience the rest of this series.
