Sometimes you have to write your own future…
The life of former journalist Juliette Seymour has been quiet and unassuming. Up until now, she’s been concentrating on running the local newspaper and raising her daughter.
But all that is about to change when Juliette is informed that the Ticklemore Tattler is to fold and that she’ll be out of a job. She begins to wonder whether she can buy the newspaper and try to make a go of it herself.
Aware that she needs some advice she contacts Oliver Pascoe, little knowing that when her old colleague re-enters her life, his help isn’t the only thing she wants him for!
As she begins to fall in love, however, what she doesn’t realise is that Oliver has something he’s keeping from her.
A gorgeously uplifting story, perfect for fans of Holly Hepburn, Heidi Swain, and Isabelle Broom.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Ticklemore in The Ticklemore Christmas Toy Shop by Liz Davies and I couldn’t wait to visit again.
This time we are reading Juliette’s story. Juliette has been running the Ticklemore Tattler single handed, whilst raising her daughter as a single mother. When she finds out the news paper is being sold she realises it’s time to take action and calls in an old colleague Oliver. Can she save the newspaper? And is there a chance Oliver is her true love?
Ticklemore is such a quaint and delightful place. I love how everyone looks out for each other and although at times, Juliette felt claustrophobic and in need of anonymity, the fierce protectiveness and support from the residents was so heart-warming. I love Hattie and her straightforward, wily ways.
Julia is quite a surprising character. She initially presents as someone who is happy hidden away, mild mannered and introvert but it doesn’t take long before her intelligence and wit shine through. I loved how she often took the first steps with Oliver and lead the way. I adored it when she stood up for herself with business propositions and I loved her integrity when sticking to an agreement made a long time ago for so long. Oliver is a charming man and had brilliant chemistry with Juliette from the very first reunion.
This was a difficult book to put down once I had started as I was desperate to find out what happened with the newspaper and with Oliver. Ticklemore is a great place to visit if you need something gentle, charming and heart warming to read. I cannot wait until I get to visit again.
Author Bio – Liz Davies
Liz Davies writes feel-good, light-hearted stories with a hefty dose of romance, a smattering of humour, and a great deal of love.
She’s married to her best friend, has one grown-up daughter, and when she isn’t scribbling away in the notepad she carries with her everywhere (just in case inspiration strikes), you’ll find her searching for that perfect pair of shoes. She loves to cook but isn’t very good at it, and loves to eat – she’s much better at that! Liz also enjoys walking (preferably on the flat), cycling (also on the flat), and lots of sitting around in the garden on warm, sunny days.
She currently lives with her family in Wales, but would ideally love to buy a camper van and travel the world in it.
