My Thoughts
This little gem is a must for all reading addicts and although aimed at the middle grade age – I enjoyed thinking about some of the activities as an adult.
The Book Dragon Club is a reading journal for children and would work extremely well as a resource for a children’s book club or for a group of friends to use together. It’s packed full of generic activities that children will enjoy completing and then sharing with friends and family. It encourages children to think a little deeper and longer about their reading but in a really fun way, to the point where it becomes part of their natural reading process.
The activities are varied and I love how there is minimal recording needed for most as I know children can often put off by having to write reams about things. There are awesome book challenges to record, including a pic ‘n’ mix challenge (reading a variety of genres) and a globe trotting challenge (for places traveled to within books). Also, there are book club activities and resources, cool book related activities and a book journal plus a reviews section. I really cannot wait until my little girl is reading bigger books and can join in with this.
The cover is delightful and has been carefully designed to appeal to children and the layout of the activities and presentation is child friendly
This journal makes reading and talking about reading super cool and I love it.

It’s brilliant.
I love the activities. Fun without being too over the top as many children (and adults) aren’t keen on disecting every aspect of their reading. These activities encourage gentle thinking and reading for pleasure.
