My Thoughts
After reading and reviewing Eternal Seas earlier this year there was no way that I would pass over an opportunity to learn some tricks of the trade from the lady herself.
This book is a little gem for offering guidance and support to a budding or reluctant writer or even a desperate teacher in need of some new ideas. It’s the sort of book I would have treasured as a child who loved to write but wasn’t always sure how to get the best from my work.
Each chapter has a different focus and contains exercises and templates to work on in order to develop that skill. The skills range from characters, settings, dialogue and many others. I particularly love the sections with free writing prompts. To supplement each activity there are several hints and tips to help your child get the best out of each page.
The pages are all laid out differently to maintain engagement but are clear and concise. What’s even better is that the skills developed are all transferable into a fiction writing.
A fabulous gift idea for any child who loves to write or just needs that little bit of extra encouragement and support..
