Ahoy there me hear+es!
Are ye brave? Are ye strong? Can ye sing a pirate’s song?
Will ye search for treasures old,
jewels and trinkets, pearls and gold?
Then climb aboard and join our crew.
Quickly now, there’s work to do!
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a pirate or fancied hauling anchor and sailing the seven seas, then this is just the tale for you! This bright and beautiful rhyming picture book from children’s author Justin Davis will capture the imagination of any budding sea dog!
I adored this gem of a children’s book and I guarantee it will brighten any story time.
written in rhyme with the added bonus of a pirate song, this delightful story will engage any child and adult alike. They story is written from the perspective of the pirates and we follow them on their stormy journey to find treasure. The cute illustrations fill each page and add additional depth to the story, allowing children to discuss and ask questions and develop their understanding with picture cues.
As a teacher this book has so many classroom uses too. As well as retelling the story of the pirates journey or a new journey of your own, children will love creating their own pirate songs or poems and there is even the opportunity to add in a movement lesson to accompany the journey or the song.
Such a delightful children’s book that is a brilliant addition to any home or school collection.
