There’s a little story behind this post and if you are interested – read on but if not feel free to skip to the good bookish stuff instead.
Melanie Fraser asked me to join this tour ages ago and after looking at my schedule and realising part of the book is made up of poetry I declined as I always doubt my inability to understand poetry. I’m not sure why – maybe a school experience – who knows? Not long ago the author contacted me and asked if I would be interested and then I took a closer look and changed my mind, deciding to give it a go and widen my reading. Maybe I’ll surprise myself and not be inept as I think. Being too late to join the tour and fairly booked with others, I offered to promote the other bloggers and the tour in exchange for a copy of the book to read in the very near future. I hope you’ll join me in following this tour and supporting Rahf, Melanie and the bloggers by checking out their reviews starting tomorrow.
A beautiful and eclectic mix of stories and poetry, as presented by new and exciting author Rahf AlRashidi. This collection of insights into the author’s soul takes the reader on a melancholy journey of loss, heartache and ill treatment, whilst at once telling the story of strength and showing the joy to be found in the aftermath of sorrow. An inspirational read for women across the world.
